We listened to you… and are improving patient care!
You may recall that at Milton Family Medical Practice and South Coast Skin Cancer Clinic we carried out an in-house patient feedback survey in early 2020 and asked for your honest opinions on the services we provide.
We collected a total of 152 survey responses over a period of three months (January through to March) and we want to thank each and every one of you for the time and effort you took to fill out the surveys and for the considered and constructive feedback you provided to us.
It was wonderful to learn that generally, our patients feel that Milton Family Medical Practice and South Coast Skin Cancer Clinic is a warm, welcoming and comfortable place to visit. Patients are satisfied with the professionalism of all Practice staff and patients are confident that their clinical treatment is of the highest quality.
We also listened to your concerns and have taken the following actions in order to make improvements to our patients’ access and care where you felt it would be most useful:
You told us that car parking availability is an issue.
✔ We have recognised that this is an issue and we are currently in the process of building/developing a second multi-space carpark onsite for patient use.
✔ We will keep patients updated on the development and let you know as soon as possible when access is available!
You told us that reception staff can be too busy to answer the phone.
✔ We have put additional administrative staff on during the week so that Reception can provide additional focus to answering the phone and supporting patients.
You told us that waiting times can be too long.
✔ Where possible Reception staff are booking short / long appointments to prevent lengthy waiting times.
✔ Patients are phoned when a longer than acceptable delay occurs.
